The Oath

A recent meeting with an established well know Architect led to the start of this exercise. The passion with which the Architect spoke about his subject mesmerised me. He spoke as if he was talking about his lover. His passion was dulled only when he spoke about the lack of appreciation shown towards traditional architecture. Together we decided to start a revolution and gather architects from across the country.

We are looking for Architects who have a passion to go back to traditional designs and means of building. We are looking for Architects who are willing to go back to their roots and build with passion. After all we are a country which boasts of the iconic Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, the Forts and palaces in Rajasthan, Sun Temple, Ajanta Caves, Fatehpur Sikri, The Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Buddhist Monuments at Sanchi, Temples of Khajuraho, the Ajanta Ellora caves, Elephanta Caves and Monuments of Hampi, Halibedu and Shravanabelagoa.

All we need is a signed Oral and Ethical Oath from each of these architects that states that they would use at least one traditional craft, using human skills, in all their projects. This would be their contribution to the survival & revival of the craft base of India.

I request genuine Architects in India to sign these and copy paste them in the comments section or send the signed copies to me by email.
